Federal health agencies on Tuesday will call for an immediate pause in use of Johnson & Johnson’s single-dose coronavirus vaccine after six recipients in the United States developed a rare disorder involving blood clots within about two weeks of vaccination, officials briefed on the decision said.
All six recipients were women between the ages of 18 and 48. One woman died and a second woman in Nebraska has been hospitalized in critical condition, the officials said.
Nearly seven million people in the United States have received Johnson & Johnson shots so far, and roughly nine million more doses have been shipped out to the states, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
While the move is framed as a recommendation to health practitioners in the states, the federal government will stop administration of the vaccine at all federally run vaccination sites. Federal officials expect that state health officials will take that as a strong signal to do the same.

Wonder if they consulted their docs before going for vaccination...
And, if so, what their doc’s advice was.
Here is a question that every doctor I have put it to has been unable or unwilling to answer for me:
What is an acceptable number of vaccine-related deaths to incur for a disease that has a survival rate of over 98%?
6 total out of 7 million seems reasonable for sure. I don’t think there’s exactly a hard line. Seems like even at just 6 it’s enough to pause it at a minimum.
BTW, from Upstate NY, get a load of the list of people who are allowed to administer EUA WuFlu vaccines...
In NYS, primary care providers, the people who know their patients best, have not been allowed, except in very rare cases, to offer vaccinations.
Think about that for a moment.
And rumor has it that at least some health systems in NYS have told their employees that they will toe the line on hard selling vaccination to their patients...or else.
Meanwhile these same health systems are allowing tbeir employees to opt out of vaccination.
I’m certainly still waiting. Personally know one that had J&J and is facing a possible stroke now from blood clots. Another took Moderna and had major blood clots. Insanely she shoot took it right after having knee surgery. Stupid.
At this point Pfizer’s seems ‘safest’ but I’ll still give it awhile longer.

If health systems in NYS are in fact muzzling dissenting opinions on WuFlu vaccination, I want to know which ones and why.
And why it’s okay for employees to opt out, but not their patients.
I wouldn’t put the vaccine as the cause of the blood clot(s) ... knee surgery generally requires a blood thinner for 10-14 days after surgery because of the know clot problem.
Not a citation, no.
And if I named names I’d likely get some people fired.

There are plenty of news reports, however, on vaccine hesitancy (love that euphemism) among NYS healthcare workers, including residential care staff.
