Thank you for the post.

It is pretty accurate and had details I had not read elsewhere.

Texans should just build a Nuclear reactor and contract space x to send the nuclear waste to the moon.

100t lift capacity for spacex new starship rocket could cost 30k per ton to lift. Which is a bargain considering the expense of keeping spent fuel at a secure facility on Earth.

This please me:

“Public Utility Commission of Texas Chairman DeAnn Walker resigned on March 1 with the other two commissioners tendering their resignations soon after. At ERCOT, seven of its 14 board members, including all five of the nonprofit’s out-of-state members, have resigned and its CEO was fired.”

Cleaned house of the bureaucraps.

I’d still require new and significantly upgraded apartments to use heat pumps, rather than resistance heaters. Heat pumps use about 1/3 of the power of resistance heaters and work great in Texas (not nearly as good in other states, though, as you get to colder climates). Right now all the builders put in resistance heaters, and let the tenants deal with the $200-plus electric bills in the winter.

This is from ERCOT they are the ones who have to report to the legislature under oath.

http://www.ercot.com/content/wcm/lists/226521/51878_ERCOT_Letter_re_Preliminary_Report_on_Outage_Causes.pdf

54% of the curtailment was weather caused that means lack of winterizaton. Read the report all the true numbers are there strait from the source who has them.
