Sad, isn’t it? That was my first thought too: “Taking out the trash.” Does that really mean “Coming in after a long night of hijinx?” Many of these tear-jerking tales of shootings are actually gang-related retaliations gone horribly wrong due to the perps’ notoriously poor aim. But maybe the kid really was up early that morning and taking out the trash because it was an assigned household chore.
Nothing wrong with taking out the trash at that hour. It depends on what the pickup schedule is. Where I am, we are told to expect trash pickup as early as 6 AM.
