This is an incredible thing to watch from Canada. I could see some of my neighbors doing this, but it shows that the world is sick of the Covid Dictators too.

That was one angry pastor.

They’ll get him when he’s alone.

****That was one angry pastor...****

Angry? I would say a righteous anger. To disrupt Worship needs to be dealt with quickly and swiftly the same way Jesus dealt with “thieves” ripping people off in his “Father’s house”.

Sadly, we know this isn’t over with. Next week they will return with a warrant, and probably arrest the pastor. Well, that’s okay - I hear Paul had a great jail ministry!

The police avoid confrontation and issue the arrest warrants later.

They should be prepared for the government to ramp up the pressure. They won’t stop.

Oh come, on, the police are telling you to restrict church attendence on Passover FOR YOUR OWN GOOD!

( Sarc) But every liquor store in town is still open wide, along with bars and night clubs.

The Canada's Charter of Rights Guarantees the Freedom of Religion, but one has to claim them, our police and government onstitutions are under no duty to follow the Charter of Rights, a very huge difference between Canada and the USA. You have to stand up for them or you do not get the benefit of the Charter of Rights in Canada. The cops thought they could get away with it. I would imagine that now this Congregation will be harassed by the Public Health Officials in Calgary. The force of arcane, draconian socialist arbitrary rule is strong in Canada.

But I have the following thoughts:

1. Whoever sent the cops has a totalitarian mindset, not worthy of leading in a supposedly free country like Canada.

2. The cops went there reluctantly and at least, have their collective moral consciences intact ( the pastor would have been dragged to jail or even clobbered if this were in another country, China comes to mind).

3. This pastor was ready to be jailed for his faith.

The province of Alberta is governed by the “United Conservative Party” of Premier Jason Kenney.

Kenney’s reputation in Canadian politics is that of a social conservative he even established an “Office of Religious Freedom”.

The closure of churches to respond to a pandemic is nothing new. During the 1918 flu pandemic, churches were closed as were movie theaters and other large gatherings of people. It was generally supported by worshippers. It continued off and on throughout 1919.

I don’t know if police enforced it, but those who did attend when churches were opened wore masks and sat in alternate pews. Look up the history. It’s widely accessible using a simple search in a search engine of your choice.

675,000 Americans died in the 1918 pandemic.

“The police avoid confrontation and issue the arrest warrants later.”

They have no basis for a warrant or else they would have had one.
Now if they try to get one it will appear spurious and anti-religion.

Good luck to the Fascist Left in Calgary. /s

Sniveling bureaucrats. Losers who couldn’t hold a real job are given extra-legal power. What could go wrong?

It took them so long to leave. How long until they just start shooting anyone who doesn’t comply?

‘I would imagine that now this Congregation will be harassed by the Public Health Officials in Calgary.’

if this happened in my home town, the church would be harrassed by spitting mad, mask loving old women, along with their henpecked husbands...

‘During the 1918 flu pandemic, churches were closed as were movie theaters and other large gatherings of people. ..’

your comparison revolves around the amount of interdiction by law enforcement personnel; was it as common for cops to show up and harrass the worshippers...?
