In recent years many in the populist movement have joined arms against them as well. Social conservatives still have some support in the conservative wing of the Party, but a growing number of so-called “conservatives” oppose them as well. The trend is not our friend.

Oscar Lopez is usually dead on correct on this issue. But it’s incredible that he completely ignores the fact, and he should know better, that showing even the slightest hint of weakness in the face of the Gaystapo ensures sure defeat not too far down the road. That’s why so-called conservatives suggesting “civil unions” to placate the Gaystapo’s demands to redefine marriage was cultural suicide. It still is.
