Under the Constitution of the USA, there is no way to eliminate ideologies or ideas. And it is silly to even try.

This premise is based on the concept that ideas and free debate will not be suppressed; and that citizens are not fully retarded individuals.

Then we should have fixed it, when that was possible. As far as I’m concerned, once a group advocates operating outside of our constitutional system (in this case, pushing for a parallel society, based on Sharia; in the case of Communism, pushing for an outright overthrow), then they should have been stopped.

As it is, no one stepped up to stop Communism after McCarthy was wrongly lambasted for trying...so the country is gone, they used our freedoms to defeat us. Very smart of them, in my opinion, at least.
