$86 million divided by 1,200 families (rooms) is $71,667 per family for 6 months lodging.
If we divide by 6 months that is $11,944 per family per month for lodging.
Now if we divide by say a 30 day month that is $398.15 per family per day.
Gosh I wonder how much of that is going to be administered by on-the-ground liberal Democratic party organizations who will try to politically indoctrinate the “family?”
$200 per night per room is a fairly nice room in most places, unless you are in a really big city. These families should not get luxury accommodations. How about sending them to college/university dorm rooms that aren't in use because the universities have been shut down?

The experience in Canada when we had - for us - a surge of unlawful border crossers coming from America following President Trump’s election provided the following lessons:
1. The hotels will charge far more than the going rate.
2. The enormous cost will include free meals that will also have inflated costs.
3. The illegals will absolutely trash the place. They will turn these hotels into 3rd World sewers that will have to be gutted once the vermin have left.
Texas and Arizona should revoke the hospitality licence of any hotel that chooses to become a flop house for the Federal Government.
