My wife who just got off her week of normal work plus 24 hour on call decided last evening, monday, to go out for a dinner. We got to our downtown area, a quaint tourist centrist area which on mondays is generally almost vacant this time of the year. There were people packed in the bars and the restaurants such that we decided to just go home. Wondering about why the sudden rush and it came to me, the stimulus checks have arrived. Yup, the much needed life sustaining give away checks plus tax benefits over the horizon means the rush is on to the grocery store. Right (s)
