At least five rockets hit the Iraqi military air base of Balad north of Baghdad on Monday, without causing casualties, Iraqi security officials said.
The officials said two more rockets fell outside the base at a rural area without causing casualties.

It’s been too long since we got into a useless war.
My first combat deployment was to Balad in 2004. Mortar and rocket attacks daily. A rocket hit a troop sleeping tent on superbowl Sunday, thrusting me into my first combat surgical experience. Not pretty.
