The big media splash over the courtship and marriage of Chuck and Diana took place around the same time I was first noticing girls in that way. Despite what we now know about the relationship, there was a concerted effort to portray Diana with class, grace and dignity befitting a royal, and all the girls I knew at the time tried their hardest to emulate her (presumably in search of their own prince.) Admittedly, it was a highly romanticized ideal, but one I think, worthy of aspiring to, for both young men and young ladies.

How far we've devolved in the 40 years since. Other than spending a lot of money on the wedding, there was no pretense of class, grace or dignity between Harry and Meghan and they've only devolved from there.

There’s an important point people are missing trying to compare Megan and Diana.......Harry doesn’t get it either.........Diana’s husband was having an affair right from the get go. That would change any equation in a Marriage and within a family.
