Sure it does. One is our culture expressing freedom. The other is an enemy culture expressing slavery.

They need to conform to the west. The ban teaches them that THEY do not set the rules here.

I’m not seeing a whole lot of “freedom” in this decision. Sorry, but Western governments have about as much moral authority these days as the Romans did in their last days.

Now, I do agree that if Muslims decide to move to Western countries, then they need to assimilate to some degree. But this ban should have been done way beforehand (not ex post facto after tons have been allowed to immigrate). An adult woman who willingly chooses to dress in such a manner should be allowed to do so. We don’t need to be carrying water for Western Femi-Nazis. The answer is to crack down on Middle Eastern immigration, not to empower government to strip people of religious liberties (and certainly not one as benign as this).
