A Kentucky police officer has been fired for allegedly supplying law enforcement information to Black Lives Matter protesters.
Following a nine-hour hearing and two hours of deliberations, Lexington-Fayette Urban County Council announced on Friday that Lexington police Officer Jervis Middleton was relieved of his duties.
Middleton was accused of overall misconduct, sharing internal police information, and being dishonest about his communication with Black Lives Matter protest leader Sarah Williams, a reported friend of the former police officer. A unanimous vote by the council found Middleton guilty of the first two administrative charges but not guilty of the third charge.
At first, Middleton denied he had given the information to Williams, but then admitted he did leak information after text messages from his phone obtained through a search warrant were shown to him, according to Keith Horn, a lawyer for the city of Lexington.

If you read the article, the officer had previously been disciplined for using police department resources to sexually harass and stalk a woman.
“At first, Middleton denied he had given the information to Williams”
Isn’t lying to police officers a crime? Or is that only when we do it?
So, what were the particulars, for those of us who aren’t interested in The Blaze?
He got caught, should have been fired for other stuff from before. (The Blaze is ad infested unless you use a blocker)
In other words he lied until they showed him definitive proof of his guilt so he admitted it .
Stand up guy.
Of course they will.
Shocked they even called him out!
Thanks.
Probably. They riot over everything else.
And we are supposed to just implicitly trust the police?
Hey wait-—the Minnesota PD is looking for some new blood...
GOOD!!! Just as it should be. I know it doesn’t seem to happen very often anymore, but once in a while things are just as they should be.
“Stand-up guys” don’t engage in this behavior to begin with! Admitting that they stole a car, raped a woman, robbed a bank... does NOT make you a “stand-up guy”. This guy was just a “dirty cop”! No amount of confession wipes the dirt off of him.
NO! I wouldn’t. And, I used to be one of them for quite awhile.
I’m sure they are, I can also tell you a lot about the hiring process. Minorities go to the head of the line, their test results are fudged/falsified to get them through. Any remaining positions that cannot be filled by a minority, are filled by white males who tested lower than a certain percentage. 20%, 15%, 30%... Those on the top of the white male bracket are immediately discarded. Otherwise it makes it harder for the minorities to compete for promotion. I saw all of this begin back in the mid to late 80’s. It’s PURE insanity!
I was being facetious, chill out.
I read “fired” and “relieved of his duties”. I hope he truly WAS fired. He should be prosecuted, too.
Cannot walk both sides of today’s political fences...

Odds are she was more than a friend.
