Of the seven who voted to "convict" the only one who has anything resembling a good excuse is Collins. Why? Because Maine is deep blue and I'd wager just about everything I own that the majority of Maine voters supported conviction.
And that goes for other votes/issues as well. If Collins were representing Wyoming she'd be an absolute disgrace...as is Romney when he claims to represent Utah. But the sad fact is that Maine is so depraved that we should feel lucky to have someone like Collins.
