No, what they should do is use the least expensive, most practical form of energy, one that does not need taxpayer subsidies. Wind power is inefficient and unreliable. Natural gas is plentiful, cheap, and reliable. There is no comparison. Nuclear energy makes sense, but people are scared of it.

You also have to consider the costs in producing the energy and what you might call side effects, such as disposing of those giant wind turbines in landfills once they are out of service.

Wait and see...right wing hand wringing about turbines is mostly a non-factor in Texas right now...it was all natural gas fault because when it is too cold the gas won’t flow due to mechanical issues. In cold places they know the most reliable form of generation is heavy fuel oil. In the north they keep heavy fuel oil specifically for these events. Texas doesn’t keep HFO.

...Natural gas is plentiful, cheap...it’s not cheap where I am at (Va.) but it is reliable!
