If you’ve noticed the Democrats have been quite surprised to learn that the new take on the Red Guards they unleashed don’t want to be called off now that they’ve served their purpose is helping defeat Trump.

He did make two appeals for them to stop, one gently telling those of them who were his supporters “you’re all of you special, now stop this and go home,” and the other, telling everyone involved that they represent nobody and will be prosecuted.
