One of my favorite jokes: A young woman came home from her first year of college. While talking to ger father, she praised socialism. She had worked hard and had a very respectable grade point average. Her wise father praised his daughter and asked about her best friend. The best friend had partied all the time and had a very low grade point average. The wise father said to his daughter, “If socialism is so great, why don't you give some of your A grades to your friend and raise her average? The daughter replied, “But I worked hard for these grades!” The wise father smiled and said, “Welcome to the Republican Party!”
