Cheneys paid for the votes in Congress. Everybody in
Leadership positions in both Parties do.
If one can dole out donor money one can be in Leadership.
Not always a bad thing. Does have it’s faults though.
Would be fun for a Member to call for a vote by the full House on Cheney’s Committee appointment (as happened to Greene).
It’s a ‘privileged’ motion so the House would have to vote publically on it. (Good way to get in deep trouble LOL!)
