The influential Scientific Advisory Group on Emergencies (SAGE) has endorsed a report telling government ministers to consider mandating mask-wearing in busy outdoor settings such as markets, playgrounds, and parks.
The paper by SAGE’s Environmental Modelling Group added that there was a contagion risk in other “semi-enclosed spaces” such as at bus stops. It also recommended that masks be worn in the corridors and communal areas of workplaces.

The problem with America is, we’ve got way too many “experts” and “fart checkers”.
Outside? Why?
Zero evidence of any significant spread outdoors or any well ventilated location. Unless you’re shoulder to shoulder with 1,000 of your favorite Antifa rioters, there’s no reason to mask up outside.
Mask up when you’re indoors in a public location with lots of people from different households. Not outside. Not at home. Not in your car by yourself. None of that makes any sense and has zero evidence to support any of it.
Control.
But keep their masks on,,!!!
I wore a mask and vinyl gloves to retrieve the mail when I was contagious with Covid.

The "experts" have "semi-vacant spaces" called their craniums. BS.
Notice the bus stops as you drive by today. Derelicts talking to themselves, weird old men haranguing bystanders about how to solve the country's problems, several black teens and possibly someone elderly and too poor to have a car.
Now let's see the police pull up and argue with them all about their lack of masks. Trouble.
Note: I know some trendy urban settings have the people in suits and holding well dressed children, 20ish people as seen in Verizon or Chewy pet product TV ads with one of each minority group smiling at each other (in bus schedule pictures). There are some in some cities and small towns.

I am certain that we will look back on this insanity with anger because a bunch of bureaucrats and journalists filled us with false hope.
Masking was shown prior to last year to be ineffective against viral transmission. Keep in mind that those studies were also not looking at long-term mask wearing the same cloth masks all day - they were focused on short-term exposures with dry clean N95 masks.
Today we have much of our nation wearing the same dirty mask all day and every day. We are breathing warm and moist air from our nose and mouth onto a cloth medium that traps particles. Food particles, nose particles, abraided and shed skin particles, spittle, oils from our skin, etc etc.
We are essentially wearing a petri dish over our nose and mouth breathing in bacteria that flourishes in warm and humid environments. How many people might have survived covid if their body was not full of bacterial pneumonia and other nasty stuff because they have been breathing it in for months?
Again, from what I have seen online that appears to be reputable and sound, the studies that are being cited in support of masking are based on dry clean masks and short term usage.
That does not even factor in proper wearing of the masks with a good seal so that it functions properly.
Legitimate questions.....
If someone wants to wear a mask....so what ? But do not FORCE us to wear them outside.
This is a UK government advisory group, not a US won. We compete for graven idiots advising governments and there is a lot of cross-contamination.
Yeah. A bunch of “Fart Smellers” in the Democrat and Republican parties for sure.
This regime is occupying the government by illegitimate, unconstitutional and criminal means.
The American people don’t have to comply.
