Just now I saw a disgusting ad on TV by MTV entertainment or some such.

It was a paraphrasing of that classic quote from Germany about “they came for me and no one was left”.

The problem with this is, and I think BLM riots and the election, showed us, very much, none of these people like each other very much or can be united on any single thing other than "hate whitey".
