Three new laws regarding farming (environmental, transportation, and one other) were passed in 2020. Farmers say it’s big gov’t trying to run their lives - in a nutshell.

The farmers say the new law will disadvantage small farmers vis-a-vis agribusiness corporations. The government says it won’t. Supporters of the farmer protests say the farmers are right. Government spokespeople say the government is right. Super informative!
This story doesn’t have the same kind of interest that the “Monkeys riot and destroy town” or “Elephants go on rampage and destroy town” that come out of India on occasion.

Being a farmer myself I am on the side of the people who have done their best to comply with increasingly idiotic regulations and mounds of paperwork only to have the government decide that I need to do something else entirely.
I just would like to sell my apples and cheese.
