Yes this is xenophobic and idiotic. I taught myself French and know I have an English accent. My Eastern European friends, of whom I know many, speak English well as does Melania. The accent is very difficult for anyone to eliminate when speaking a second language unless they learned at a very young age. So how many languages can Jill Biden speak? One?
