Justin Thomas has lost an endorsement deal with Ralph Lauren after he used an anti-gay slur during the third round of last weekend's Sentry Tournament of Champions in Hawai'i.
Thomas, 27, the third-ranked player in the world, was overheard on a greenside microphone cursing at himself for missing a par putt at the fourth hole on the Plantation Course at Kapalua on Jan. 9. He apologized profusely after the round and said after missing a playoff by a stroke that the issue was bothering him enough for it to be a distraction.
"We are disheartened by Mr. Thomas' recent language, which is entirely inconsistent with our values,'' the company said in a statement. "While we acknowledge that he has apologized and recognizes the severity of his words, he is a paid ambassador of our brand and his actions conflict with the inclusive culture that we strive to uphold.

Sometimes, I read through these headlines quickly and my brain substitutes something I’d expect to see on this site. Such was the case here where I read this as “Justice Thomas” and thought “how in the hell did Clarence Thomas swing a gig with Ralph Lauren Polo?” LOL.
If he was an avowed democrats he would be lauded for paying tribute.

Patrick Reed (Masters winner) quickly became my favorite a couple of years ago. The camera caught him calling himself a f*ing f**g*t when he missed a putt. I thought it was hilarious as it captures what the average golfer says to himself when he screws up. Of course the rainbow Nazis came out in force after that one too
I’d like to see a flurry of these offensive statements come out all at once.Just like riots happening. No sacred cows. Do it during Super Bowl week.

It’s a good question without an easy answer. You cannot find the word he used at any location on the web, nor is it on YouTube. We’re not allowed to decide for ourselves. That said, I’m guessing he called himself a “faggot” for missing the putt.

I quit golf because I didn't need the aggravation and I wasn't fun to be around.
Dammit. And Ralph Loren is one of the only things that looks good on me other than jeans and boots. I figure it takes a big house operation to make old geezers look nice. I imagine them bringing in a team like Apollo 13, and rolling in an out of shape beer belly manikin and telling them they have to make it look damn good.
You can’t have some small time operation pull that kinda thing off.
