President Trump's lawyer Rudy Giuliani went on record saying that he'll be part of the defense team in the impeachment trial before the US Senate in the near future.
If there is an impeachment trial (and there should not be), Trump needs to find better representation than Guiliani. If impeachment succeeds, Trump can be prohibited from holding federal office again, dooming his option to run for the presidency in 2024.
Guiliani did a great job against the Mafia back in the day, and he was a great mayor. But he's well past his prime and completely out of his depth in Washington. Trump needs the best possible representation if an impeachment farce proceeds, and Guiliani isn't it.

I wouldn’t let Giuliani represent me in traffic court.
Get someone younger.

That’s easy to say. No proof.
The courts were never going to work this.

Trump needs the best possible representation if an impeachment farce proceeds, and Guiliani isn't it. No top law firm dares to work for him, for fear of blacklisting.

Rudy Giuliani is 76. He’s just old. He might still serve a role though. As a VIP on a high powered squad of talented lawyers. The problem is that no one may want to work for Trump at this point. I could be wrong though.
