“The move makes it more difficult for the Biden administration to immediately replace him”

WaPo says that as though it is a bad thing.

God and Trump Know.

Maybe Pompeo and a few.

Not us. We are to continue doing our part, after having done he most important job of re-electing him, and stand back, let them handle it now

Yes sir.

From the article.

It “appears to be an attempt to improperly politicize an important career position,” wrote Susan Hennessey, a former lawyer in the NSA Office of General Counsel, on Lawfare, where she is the executive editor.”

Considering her position at Lawfare I would take whatever opinion she states with a salt lick let alone a grain.

“ Don’t know why this is important, but if the Dems are upset about it, it’s a good move“

It is important because like good soldiers who have done the grunt work, as has Trump, voting, we have to stand down and wait with not a word of top secret info.

When the enemy is upset we know it’s a good sign

No kidding.

In November, Pentagon General Counsel Paul C. Ney Jr. named Michael Ellis, then a White House official, to the position of general counsel at the NSA, a career civilian post at the government’s largest and most technologically advanced spy agency, The Post reported. He was selected after a competitive civil service competition. He has not taken up the job, however, as he needed to complete administrative procedures, including taking a polygraph test

Maybe this indicates a forthcoming pardon for Snowden and Assange?

“ I think the concerns it ought to raise for the fraudsters is that the end of a massive sting operation might be drawing to an end.”

Clinton did this type of thing broadly on his way out the door, including having people from commissions that were direct appointments resign so they could be re-appointed to extended terms.

Reached by phone Saturday, Ellis said, “I don’t talk to the press, thank you,” and hung up.
