My prediction is most of these cases will be settled with a guilty plea to a misdemeanor trespass type charge. There are plenty of videos of police allowing people past the police line and if they have no evidence that they were involved in attacking an officer or doing actual property damage, it may be a hard case to make.

I also question the 50 injured officers. From our vantage point we saw a number of them self-treating after they threw teargas grenades into the wind.

Yep, no way will they lock up hundreds of people ( most probably have no criminal history) for 20 years for sedition. The ones that walked in and walked around will get a slap on the wrist. The ones breaking glass, breaking in doors will get the rod up the butt.

Under normal circumstances, maybe. But this was the Capitol. They’re going to throw the book at them or Congress will want to know the reason why.
