You don’t need a twitter account to view tweets - just to interact (like FR).
I canceled our 2 accounts (one for my activist posts and one to be able to still post when the main one was suspended) because it finally became futile - the only reason to have a twitter account was to try to make a difference and now if one actually begins to make a difference they shut you down so I washed my hands of them...on the same day I canceled my Amazon prime account and the wife had me dump her FB account.
