Colin Powell: 'I can no longer call myself a fellow Republican'
The Hill ^ | Jan 10, 2021 | Marina Pitofsky

Former Secretary of State Colin Powell said that he no longer considers himself a Republican in the wake of the riot that broke out at the Capitol building last week.

Asked by CNN's Fareed Zakaria whether he believes "fellow Republicans" who have not criticized President Trump "encouraged, at least, this wildness to grow and grow," Powell responded that "They did, and that's why I can no longer call myself a Republican."

"I'm not a fellow of anything right now. I'm just a citizen who has voted Republican, voted Democrat throughout my entire career, and right now I'm just watching my country and not concerned with parties," Powell said.

I respect your opinion, but do not assume they know.

They love the cloistered bubble they live in.

Colin Powell was never a real Republican. He’s always been a race-baiting whiner. Goodbye and good riddance, @hole!!!

"Big deal.... you haven’t been one for years. You are irrelevant. Goodbye....."

It's kind of like when homos come out and tell you they are homos, but you've know it all along because of their feminine voice and manners. That's how stupid these people think we are, that we couldn't figure out on our own that Powell wasn't a Republican, or all those other fools were homos.

You are fooling anybody, Colin Powell. We know you tend to vote by color or by certain issues, like endless wars.

Rush did a segment several years ago in which he repeatedly referred to him as “the Colin Colonel Powell”. I still crack up every time I hear his name!

Most Libby Pardon Coverage Fails to Mention Original Plamegate Leaker 4/14/2018, 2:02:39 PM · by rktman · 38 replies newsbusters.org ^ | 4/14/2018 | Tom Blumer Most of the establishment press's coverage of President Donald Trump's pardon of Scooter Libby has not mentioned Richard Armitage, the person who admitted that he first leaked allegedly covert CIA agent Valerie Plame's name to journalist Robert Novak in 2003. This pervasive failure includes items at the Associated Press, New York Times, the Washington Post, and over 80 percent of Google News stories about Libby. I recall the days when GW Bush was offering him the Vice Presidential candidacy endorsement and he turned up his nose and thought he was much too good for Bush. Bush-—the non-Trump moderate who would sell out America for Deep State credentals later on. Easy to predict what Powell would think of the real man Trump who spoke truth.

An Affirmative Action guy pushed and promoted over his head all his life and then developed a serious bloated ego problem and became delusional.
