In Puerto Rico, sometimes the terms "curfew" and "lockdown" are interchangeable. Also used is the Spanish word for confinement.

Democrat and Republican mean absolutely nothing in PR politics there is the PDP, PNP, PIP and it never ceases to blow my mind when I am there during election season. They have trucks with huge speakers that drive around everywhere constantly spouting election propaganda for various politicians at top volume. One would think just the noise pollution alone would cost more votes than it gained.
The best mitigation measure is to just stop freaking out about it.
