It was disheartening that a true conservative, well-known and sufficiently funded, did not contest Cornyn’s March 3 re-nomination. There were a conservative or two running, but neither got a significant primary vote.

The Cornyn family has some of the worst looking food photos.
People think it’s the federal’s job to feed all the piggies at the trough and squeal when anyone threatens to take their handouts away.
So-called “progressivism” and other such ideologies encouraged people to envy and to subsequently vote themselves goodies, once they could do that it started a feedback loop.
But as with capturing a herd of wild hogs, you feed them first, then erect the fence and finally close the gate. With people it is a technique that will work on anyone who doesn’t consciously reject the government’s asserted place to give hand outs. And of the more insidious ways to get people on their sides was to give them the illusion of paying in before getting the goodies.
