Think of all the "discovery" information that Roberts would have to divulge if he took Wood to court.

People who have things about themselves they want to hide, don't dare risk suing or counter suing for fear that it would all come out in court.

It's possible Lin Wood's strategy in accusing Roberts is for that reason (Roberts wouldn't be that stupid to take the bait) or maybe he's just trying to get Roberts to recuse himself.
