As I wrote elsewhere, I don't doubt that Powell may be good, even great as an attorney. And she probably has the goods on some bad hombres. Her doc dumps are pretty good.

I never read her book, though I'm familiar with the Enron and Arthur Anderson saga. Frankly, Worldcom was a greater story and an outright fraud, but that's for a different thread.

Again, I don't doubt that she knows the difference between a tort and a tart. But we get things like this and writers who argues that St Sidney is being kept from Trump. That is utterly laughable. If Trump wants to see someone, he will undoubtedly get an audience with that person, like the head of NK. I believe it is absurd to think that if Trump met and discussed matters with Powell, and he was positively disposed toward her, that she's being "kept" from him. Quite the contrary, if Trump wants to meet with someone, they get an audience with him - and if not, he avoids them.

To be sure, there are handlers, and people constantly whispering into Trump's ear about this guy or gal being bad etc. Trump isn't perfect - look at his AGs and the Mooch - so I am not saying there isn't any chance that someone is blocking Powell from Trump. Or that Lin remains on Trump's speed dial. But I seriously doubt both remain in close contact with the Presdent.

To wit: Bannon was once part of Trump's close advisors. He was cut loose, and many of us thought WTF. The truth was, that while Bannon was a great strategist for the 2016 election, he wasn't a great tactician in an Administration. He's an idea guy, and not cut out for D.C. There were also some other behind-the-scene things most of us didn't see (but I trust those privy to such things) and, in the end, we trusted Trump's judgment.

We are seeing a dearth of fighters. One by one, court filings and suits don't get to see the light of day. Legislatures have failed the voters. Yet, Powell and Lin are two of the few people out there, publicly fighting the PR fight when others have recoiled. I believe that's why they remain in good graces with so many people. But while I love a fighter, I also remember that MacArthur fled Corrigedor only to return triumphantly. Self-immolation isn't an option.

He’s one of the most well known and successful lawyers out there. He made his name defending Richard Jewel and has won many high profile suits for high profile clients. He was one of Nick Sandman’s lawyers.

If we use Mark Levin as the standard on whether to give credence to these lawyer’s Kraken cases or not, he last tweeted on Wood on November 14th, and last tweeted on Powell’s case on November 26th. Nothing since.

Levin is smart to hold his words. I'm sure he has plenty to say, but he knows that a good chunk of his audience follow Woods' and Powell's every word, and await the Kraken like Linus awaits the Great Pumpkin.

I think we can all agree this is an unusual tactic. I think there are three, maybe four possibilities :

1) Lin Wood is a crackpot.

2) Lin Wood is an enemy plant.

3) Lin Wood knows something and can prove it.

4) Lin Wood doesn’t really know anything, but wants to turn the process into such a circus that the absurd allegations become a weapon.

Only one of those options appeals to me, and as another poster mentioned, extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof.

Just so happens, a man sworn to be non-partisan won’t look at, or shake the hand of the President of the US, when he embraced Barack Obama, at the same venue.

Just so happens, Roberts covered up Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s condition and the fact her staff did everything for three years.

To me, Roberts is like a guy claiming to be an Auto Mechanic but doesn’t know he spark plugs are located.
