I don’t see giving 2 grand to everyone.
I’m a retiree whose income has not been affected. People like me need nothing.
Workers need more than 600 bucks, many need nothing.
Anyway, more power to Trump, hope he gets his point past the media.

Think of it as a tax rebate - it’s a small part your tax money that the government never should ever have confiscated from you in the first place.
You may not need it, but neither does the government. They only use it to tyrannize us and deprive us our our Constitutional rights.

If you don’t need it, give it to someone who does. There’s sure enough of them!

In 1983, the Reagan administration, Republicans and Democrats agreed that to “save Social Security” tax payers should process a work sheet to see if they had enough income to require them to pay taxes on their SS payments. A deduction was allowed of $25,000 for single people and $32,000 for couples. Now, 37 years later what do you think it is?? $60,000 for singles, and $70,000 for couples???? NO, NO, NO!!!, it is still only $25 and $32 thousand. So now much lower income retirees are forced to pay taxes on their already earned and taxed SS “benefit.” This is WRONG, WRONG, WRONG!!! If you don’t believe me check the CPI calculator and see how lower middle income retirees are being robbed, and have been for many years.

While I fully disagree with FedGov giving ANY money away to ANYONE, better to give it partially back to the people that actually paid for it.
There's how many billions of foreign $$ giveaways in this thing? $4.4MM to previous presidents? Billions to random government buildings? Just zero all those out and give it to the citizenry, you wouldn't be spending a single additional dime!
Really, what we should do that'd be a bit more Constitutional is simply pass a say, $5M/person tax credit. (Non-refundable, but can be retroactive for the last 1-2 years' taxes.) Give up to five grand back to each person that has paid up to that much in taxes.
Also, State that each lockdown authority is responsible for any extra costs, or lost business/wages due to their lockdown, under authority of eminent domain. That'd A) provide a solid path for every person and business hurt by this to recover their lost $$, and B) convince EVERY SINGLE CITY/STATE to immediately open their places back up, because there's no way any of them can pay for every single businesses' revenue stream for the year/longer.

Screw the handouts.
Workers need full time employment.
Make any aid dependent on states lifting their fricking lockdowns.
NOW.
