Stealing a devastating line from C.S. Lewis's The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, I called Romania 'the real life country where it was always winter but never Christmas'. I knew how the story ended, with the triumphant return of Christmas, and I was pretty sure that Romania was going to be a lot better than it had been, once the shooting stopped.
But what I never thought was that this description of Nicolae Ceaucescu's unhinged, irrational despotism would ever apply here, even slightly...
This year, it feels as if Christmas has gone into exile somewhere else. Even in church I am expected to undergo a macabre, truncated ceremony where everyone stands around in muzzles as if they were in an abattoir or attending an autopsy, stinking of blasted sanitiser, and it is forbidden to sing...(though humming may be permitted).
And some noodle at the World Health Organizaton even thinks we should wear face-nappies at home on Christmas Day. A masked Christmas? I'd rather not have one at all.
Frankly, I wish you an Angry Christmas, not a merry one, because if you aren't angry this year, the chances are very strong you won't be allowed to be merry next year, or the year after that...

Its another country but when it comes to the tyranny of coronavirus rules, the media, the elected legislators and the courts this Hitchens column reads like the USA.
First it was flatten the curve, then it was keep the rates low, then it was reduce the second wave.
All along I suspect it has been a co-ordinated plan to impose the climate emergency that globalist governments knew the voters would never endorse.
I know about a hundred people, not one of them has been sick one day since this started. I believe there is a disease out there and I think it has been designed to hit hard in some specific medical groups and to spread around fairly freely like the common cold to drive up infection numbers to support the narrative.
It seems like we have been played (can you be played if you never believed at any stage? or are you more accurately powerless to respond?).
And yes, they went directly for the free expression of religious faith, and the rights of people to free assembly. We should be angry and respond by voting against those who support this nightmare business-destroying response, but then we find the vote is being distorted or there is no opportunity in some cases to cast a vote (state governors or Canadian politicians not facing election challenges at this point).
It’s either a proxy for a climate emergency response, or a deliberate social weakening in advance of a gradual increase in Chinese influence (facilitated by those who are either bribed or blackmailed into compliance). Not enough people are recognizing these real dangers, because they have been scared into compliance themselves by the pandemic which always seems to be in the next town or the next valley or the next state.
The problem is WE keep “obeying” what they are dictating we have to do......AGAIN!.....they could slide this nation into their one world system in increments such as these shutdowns and few would know how it's happening.......heck they just stole an election and even though caught doing so they apparently are going to get away with it as long as the people don't stop it.

The spiritual gift of prophecy is different from the way it was given in Biblical times.
In the Old Testament the office of prophet was bestowed on men who were empowered to speak to the people on God’s behalf, telling them what was coming.
According to Hebrews 1:1-2 the last of these was Jesus, who among other things is God’s prophet for the last days.
The gift of prophecy today is intended to give more detailed explanations of prophecies the Bible already contains.
(Even the prophecies Paul gave us about Israel, the rapture, and the resurrection only contain additional insight into what Old Testament prophets had already said.)

Great article - he’s a wonderful writer. I hope people read it to the end, because he talks about how all the safeguards against tyranny have failed in the UK. He mentions as the most devastating that the last resort, the courts, won’t hear or even admit complaints challenging or questioning the government’s Covid tyranny.
Kinda reminds me of the US, where the courts won’t even hear or admit complaints regarding the blatantly fraudulent election and its illegal conduct by government officials.
And as he says, if the lawful means of challenge to government overreach are closed off to people, that leaves them only one recourse: non-legal means.
Roberts supposedly refused to hear the TX case because he was afraid of Antifa/BLM rioting if he accepted it. But he never considered the anger created in the injured parties by refusing to even let them make their claims heard.
Yep. It is all that IMO and even worse. The forced global vaccinations are the innovation that will make their global kill all the easier. They also have knowingly from the start suppressed the knowledge, permissions and spread of the simple vitamin, mineral and cheap, proven medical antidotes to their bioweapon. They also of course goosed the numbers in other murderous and beancounting ways.
The scope and timing of the pounce has been a disappointing shock, but just as much as has been the bovine acceptance and involvement in our enslavement—from overlooking the school indoctrination and now mass censorship and media control to the masks, house arrrests, etc., etc.
That MAGA/FReepers are so quick to overlook and give a pass to Trump’s involvement is disconcerting as well.

I’m no Trump ass kisser, but in fairness, he had little choice...and he has paid for his supposed ‘lack of caring’ with the loss of his presidency; the destruction of his economy killed him, not some murky collusion that changes at each teling...
the signature acheivement of any type during this ‘anno horribilis’ is the rapid deployment of vaccines; whether they prove effective or not, that is an impressive undertaking and success story, which the populace desired and demanded...though he had my vote prior to all this, Trump held up his end of the bargain with typical aplomb...

Trump won the popular vote handily. It was not securing the election that has put his second term at risk. Leadership could and should have beat this back. Instead he gave full rein to corrupt Big Pharma/Gates/globalist puppets to push the fear and misinformation—and suppress the simple prophylactics and cures for what should have been a manageable bioweapon attack.
And the mRNA vaccine is an evil part of a very evil agenda. The rapid rollout of pure evil is not something to be proud of—and may well be the worst of his legacy.

were you lurking about shouting ‘evil, evil’ in 1955 when the polio vaccine practically eradicated polio as a major disease...or smallpox, or tetanus, or anthrax, or typhoid, or rubella, or...
No, I’m talking about a problematic, untested mRNA vaccine that they actually have no idea will stop any infections for a mild bioweapon that could be knocked down with cheap and widely available supplements and meds instead. Along with the vaccine being the real bioweapon IMO, it is ushering in complete, Chinese social credit score-style lockdowns and controls.
If people were privy to daily hyped hyped reports on the number of confirmed/tested “cases” of the Common Cold and the daily deaths which result from complications thereof, they’d never willingly leave the house.
But then again, all those deaths are now from SARS-CoV-2, which is “new” and a lot more scary (thank you very much Fauci/Birx/MSM).
