Thank you for the response. And yes, I agree that it “is a lie”.

I told my church that I will resume attendance when they remove all restriction requirements. I do play bass in the worship band so I will show up every other week to play. I don’t bother wearing a mask and they just sort of “know” to leave me and a few other old guys alone.

And I’m angry from the moment I enter until the moment I leave because I see masks as the modern equivalent of the yellow six point star. It’s an exercise and test in compliance with the absurd. I refuse to participate.

But he kept big stores like Walmart open.

So instead of distributing everybody in hundreds of small businesses we all go to one place. You should close the big centers where hundreds of people congregate.

As usual, the government solution is ass backwards.

“In the SCREW UP, MOVE UP culture of the left gaining power is the only thing that matters.”

Rape is a power trip.

Not so much sex and everything to do with the urge to control. Rapists are compelled not by lust but by hatred and anger...

So they say.

The last thing in the world I want to do is defend St. Andrew but that slide should not be the basis of public policy. It is way too high level to draw the conclusions as done in the article. I am not a public heath expert but what can we learn from the data as presented?

First off, the WuFlu is a nasty little bug that is easily transmittable, just like the regular flu and the common cold. We can also gather that home hygiene is far less effective than the measures taking place everywhere else.

If you really want to judge the effectiveness of the lock-down strategy, you must first subtract from the at-home count all but the local patient zero. The real question should be where the person who brought the WuFlu into the household got infected. Then and only then can you draw conclusions as to whether the gym, the hair salon, the grocery store, etc. is where transmission is taking place.

‘the graphs prove our actions were effective.’

he would still br stuck with the spike in home infections; and then have to explain how stay at home orders were justified...

True. Covid didn't kill any business, Cuomo did that. And TODAY, he adds more draconian rules.

“He knew they were innocent, and he buried them some more.” That’s a serious charge. Why would Cuomo do that?

Because he's a communist control freak, bought and paid for by the CCP, just like Biden and most of the other RATs.

‘The real question should be where the person who brought the WuFlu into the household got infected.’

if that is the real question, then the answer is a nullity, as it is mostly impossible to fix where any specific infection occurred...if that is the issue, and the social desire is to prevent multitudes of infections, then the solution is to mask up 100% of the time, close all social institutions, never venture outside with any one other than immediate family members never more than a fraction of a mile radius from your house, and receive your nutrition from properly protected government officials...

or we could just do as we always have done, and live, and some die, with it...

“I don’t bother wearing a mask and they just sort of “know” to leave me and a few other old guys alone.”

In my experience, older Christians are NOT wearing masks. Particularly those of us past 60. We’ve seen so many lies by the government over our lives that we don’t believe them. And we KNOW we take a risk every time we get in a car.

“Just playing devil’s advocate: If I were Cuomo I would say that the reason those places were such low transmission places is BECAUSE we shut them down.”

My thinking: If I have horses in a corral, and I close three gates and leave one gate open, will only 25% of my horses get out? Or will the horses flow thru the open gate?

We cannot keep the virus out of homes, and once in a home, it is easier to spread. Still not “easy” because none of the married couples I know who had one spouse catch it have had it spread to the other spouse - while living as man & wife in quarantine.

But I was told the other day that the reason masks don’t work is because people take them off when they get home....

For nothing? He helped greatly expand the scope of the outbreak by moving COVID patients into places where it would spread most rapidly instead of into unused hospital space.

You’re exactly right. I’ve said for 20 years the moment any government appropriated money is “granted” into science it immediately becomes POLITICAL SCIENCE.

I think most of us noticed this 10 or 15 years ago.

Kudos to you for picking this up earlier than many of us here.

Other than that last line, I agree. My take, from day one, has been that we may need to flatten the curve and get on with life. But the curve was flattened in April. And as information has come out, I think I was wrong to swallow the curve flattening nonsense too.

But I’m just whining. The economy is destroyed, the culture is damaged, and 2021 is going to be one for the history books.

NYS counts probables as new cases. Repeat positives of the same patient as new cases.

We have the same situation in Washington State. Many people who are not sick are required to get a test because of their job, they want to take a trip, or were in contact with someone who tested positive. It is well known that the most popular test available has an extremely high false positive rate... Every positive test result is counted here as a “new case”. If like Elon Musk, the person decides to get tested a 2nd time on the same day to confirm their results and the second test comes back negative, this does not negate the results of the first test in the eyes of the government, they are still considered a new case. If like Elon Musk they get another test on the same day and it comes back positive, they are now counted as two cases. If they get another test the same day and again like Elon Musk it comes back negative, the person is still considered two cases and they are still required to be quarantined for two weeks and then get another test. If the test two weeks later comes back positive they are considered to be a third case.

It is all government mandated madness. If we tested people over and over and over again for the flu and used flaky test results to determine how bad the “pandemic” was in the same way... we would get the same type of results. Nonsensical hysteria can be manufactured by this means over any contagious pathogen. I thought that this would all end after the election, but Covid is now being used to keep the public's attention off of the massive fraud that took place. We are now into the cyclic flu season... in reality it is probably not much if any worse than normal, but how would anyone be able to gauge when the goal of those keeping track of the numbers are using nonsensical accounting methods?

Generally speaking,I agree with you. However, it’s not entirely true. My niece’s husband had it. They have a fairly large home. He quarantined himself to one room, a guest room with its own bathroom. She disinfected everything once he moved in there. She brought him his meals and knocked on the door so she could leave before he retrieved it. I’m not sure how she handled his plates, utensils, etc, after he finished, but she and their baby never got it. He had a sore throat, body aches, a stuffy head, then mild coughs. Pretty much like any cold ever. They both were tested after quarantine and she was never positive. So I guess it all depends.
