Texas Senator John Cornyn has criticized a Supreme Court lawsuit filed by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton to have the Supreme Court invalidate election results in four key battleground states—Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Cornyn said he is unconvinced by the case's legal theory.

Because this is still a Republic, and as so, government protects the minority with equal protection. If another cabal of states, in this case 4, flips an election from what would otherwise be the loser to now being the winner, then Texas and 17 other states’s equal protection rights are violated. Effectively, these other 4 states no longer have a Republican form of government.
SCOTUS can hear this case and form a remedy.
If their remedy falls short, we really will be finding ourselves in an 1861 moment...
Cornyn laid aside the conservative camoflage he dons for elections in record time this cycle. His lightning fast turn away from what the voters want is a stunning slap in the face. He thinks he’s safe for another six years.

I’ve never trusted this guy...slimy. Just like a swamp creature...act all humble and grateful before the election, soliciting campaign donations to keep Texas red...then after the election, shove an ice pick in the backs of his base.

The GOP called me to ask why I didn’t give them permission to call me (seriously!). It gave me a 15 minute window to describe my position, and I told her I’d glad restate this to anyone else there.
I described how I hand pick all candidates I want to get my money and how money given to the GOP would be given to all sorts of bad Republicans. She countered that “we are giving to solid conservatives like Ted Cruz and John Cornyn,” among others she thought would float my boat.
I told her immediately upon hearing John’s name that that was an example of precisely someone I don’t want to get my money. I told her he is a bad man, but people in his state would still vote for him because he made it through the primary and he was better than letting the Democrats win the Senate.
I described how he passively-aggressively has attacked Trump since he became president, along with many other closet Never-Trumpers.
What a fun call!
