In a unanimous vote Tuesday, the Falls Church, Virginia School Board voted to rename Thomas Jefferson Elementary School, as well as George Mason High School, replacing the names of these Founding Fathers with those of people who are more woke and acceptable to the vanguard of today’s Cultural Revolution.
School Board Chair Greg Anderson, tongue no doubt planted firmly in cheek, intoned the usual pieties: “The Board took seriously the viewpoints and concerns raised by many students, parents, staff, and community members.” Except it didn’t, since according to WTOP, “a survey of the Falls Church community taken in October…revealed that 56% of the community overall asked that the names stay on the schools, including 61% of the parents of Thomas Jefferson Elementary students and 57% of George Mason High parents.” But their viewpoints didn’t count. As is always the case, the only viewpoints that mattered were those of the woke mob.
Not grasping the old adage that it is better to be silent and be thought an idiot than to open one’s mouth and prove it, Anderson rambled on: “We thank everyone who shared their perspectives with us and will be mindful of your comments as we now begin selecting names that reflect the diversity of opinions in our community” – except, that is, the opinions of the majorities who thought Thomas Jefferson and George Mason were fine names and need not be changed. “Our schools must be places where all students, staff, and community members feel safe, supported, and inspired.” Except, that is, those who respect and revere the Founding Fathers.

The hatred I feel for these people is very unchristian. I know it goes against the teachings of my faith but I must admit I do not feel guilty or ashamed.

So then, to have Thomas Jefferson School in the community, has made people feel unsafe, unsupported, and uninspired??? Thus the need to change the name????

I’m with you there. When it comes to theology, and the notion that we are to love our neighbors, love enemies, etc. there are limits to such concepts.
In my opinion, it’s ok to hate what people are doing when they seek to do a “cultural revolution” and strip us of symbols and concepts and historic figures which we believe in. I believe God will understand our hatred of such people.
Maybe the Falls Church school board needs to be “cancelled” instead...just sayin’.
It’s at the schools where the communist indoctrination starts.

That is a great idea...They need to rename the schools Fidel Castro High School and Che Guevara High School to coincide with their political ideals....

What is renamed can be renamed again...............
He has done so much for the quality of education in the Commonwealth of Virginia, by goal decreasing the number of students per teacher. Granted we've yet to see the full effects of his stance on late term and live birth abortions, but the results will be readily apparent in the next few years with K through 6 grades benefiting first.
PARENTS PULL YOUR KIDS OUT AND START FIGHTING GOD DAM IT!!!
They will waste money to change the name instead of treating taxpayer money with respect and educating children.

I grew up near Thomas Jefferson school and it was a nice friendly community.
If the community supports these idiots, they deserve to be ruled by them.
To show how far the communist success has expanded, just 4 decades ago such an announcement would have resulted in gunfire, tar, and lynching’s...
