Blue America Needs Red America
The American Mind ^ | 12/01/20 | Michael Anton

The point about the three great examples of the advanced part of a nation subjugating the backward part is insightful and chilling. I do believe that is what Blue America intends for Red.

But Caldwell further says that dynamism does not need tradition in the same way that labor needs capital and vice versa. I suppose the qualification “in the same way” makes that statement true, but Caldwell’s implication seems to be that they don’t need each other at all. Is that really true?

"Blue America" == "dynamism" ?!?

LOL ... yeah, when I think of Detroit or San Francisco, I think "dynamism" all the way. "Blue America" is running off the vapors left in the tank by the capitalist system.

I believe that Biden set several records this year. The two most interesting ones seem to be:

1) 80 million votes. Most ever. More than Hillary. More than Obama. Charismatic Joe brought out the people in record numbers.
2) Less than 17% of US counties supported joe. Fewest ever. Across the broad swath of America, most areas have no interest in Joe.

NOTE: Obviously I don’t believe 80 million people voted for Joe.

Blue America consists of scattered dots. A handful of large cities. No way can Blue America survive on its own. They need to be parasites on Red America. The parasites think they deserve to rule the people who make the world function.

I do not accept the premise that blue states are advanced, and the so called red states are backwards. Show me examples of how “advanced” blue states and the cities are please. I see pervasive corruption, abysmal education, complete moral depravity, homelessness, and in some of them human feces litters the streets.

None of that is the case in “red” states.

They are backwards, we are advanced.

The Red and Blues counties should be separated politically and economically.

Votes from Blue counties sjouke not impact Red counties and Blue counties should not benefit from the economic capital produced in Red counties.

Wait. The liberal hellholes are “advanced”?

They are "progressive," so they have progressed beyond the rubes in flyover country. Just ask them and they'll tell you.

Yes, all those budding Edisons that we in Red America so sorely lack.

Maybe during America's Industrial Boom or the late 1800s to early 1900s the hinterlands were subjugated by the more advanced cities. But this is not that age. Technology does not require cities on a coast or river for easy access to distribution centers and ports. Raleigh/Durham or the Triangle region in NC is competitive with Silicon Valley. You can build worldwide distribution centers in Kansas or Missouri. Move the Merc and Stock Exchange to central Iowa and it would make no difference in the 21st Century. The major metropolitan areas are located strategically for a 20th Century economy. We do not need Chicago, NYC or San Francisco as they currently exist in the 21st Century. The fact is our major metro areas like NYC and Chicago are already decaying from within. In fact Amazon is proving my point with their strategically located distribution centers.

Here would be a good test. For one week, no trade between Blue and Red areas of the country. Who suffers worse? I am sure a good programmer could run a simulation of what would occur if all interstate trade and travel in the USA between Blue and Red regions stopped for one week. They need us more then we need them. Before this country devolves any further maybe we need to show those snobs how much they really need us.

If Joe Biden becomes President, all of the country will be “Red America”, a.k.a. Communist. That’s why I resist using the mainstream media assigned color scheme.

A food transport truckers’ strike could devastate blue cities.

I agree. They think they are advanced, but in reality they are in decline.

It used to be reversed I think. I assume the Democrats wanted it changed, because they didn’t want to be identified with communism. The MSM was only too happy to comply.
