I can think of some precision tools that are not made in the US but are made in Germany. They are needed for someone's job. Suggestions?
Go to flea markets - you can find all sorts of precision tools for cheap. Starrett, Brown&Sharpe, etc. built America and much of the world. My son was able to buy a pickup truck load of such stuff for $400 from a retiring machinist.
Mechanic's tools - all sorts of quality beyond Snap On assumed the top of the heap. Blackhawk, Proto, New Haven, Plomb, etc.
