She was in a high-pressure, high-visibility, big-outcome legal situation. She had legal council tell her wrong. She was under personal attack by ‘the village’. She had a deal she thought worked (but was a lie).
I can only imagine how a parent feels when their beloved children are threatened with harm at the hands of strangers. I pray that I, and you, FRiend, will never know it.

I lived in a neighborhood that political class people like her only visit and was involved in physical violence with criminals more than once. If you want people who won’t back down, find some young, blue collar men with self-defense training in those rough neighborhoods (maybe bouncers). Or get some men with enlisted (not officer) prior service in battle-focused, ground combat units (small arms combat platoons only—not “sections” or motor pools).
If someone threatens your child, immediate defensive violence is the answer. She has no business there if she is subject to such intimidation.
