The donations progress bar is not active right now. Jim Rob sent out a message saying that electronic donation collections on FR were halted until they could be sure that the migrated version of FR was functioning properly.

Then Jim Robinson's beloved wife of 50 years, Shiela died. FR has been sending prayers and well wishes for Jim and his family during these agonizingly difficult times. Continued prayer donations for their comfort and healing are much appreciated.

THere is a business side of FR that the Robinson family has no time or strength to deal with right now. When someone so special and important dies, business details must wait.

Is it possible FReepers can step in and use the mailing address to send a check instead of electronic donation? The family would see them arriving and know that this important detail is being handled without their effort. I know we wish we could ease the suffering of the family in some way; perhaps this small gesture could help dismiss the fundraising detail for now. 

I don't want Jim Robinson to return to FR and find a financial pothole waiting.

Not as far as I know. Those are already established from bank account to his bank account. I believe the concern is if the electronic donation page for new donations will or will not properly connect to banking institutions and possibly whether or not FR’s intake side is properly secured.

I think my post can be interpreted to mean automatic payments already arranged have halted and I actually meant using the donations page now to make donations has halted.

I don’t want people to donate via check in the mistaken (I think) belief that automatic monthly electronic payments have halted.
