COVID-19 has killed more than one in every 1,000 residents in North Dakota, data shows.
With a population of 762,000, the Peace Garden State has recorded at least 791 virus-related deaths, according to the latest figures from Johns Hopkins University.
Meanwhile, the state has ranked first in the nation for new cases per capita for the last two weeks. One in every 79 people in the state tested positive in the past week, data shows.

1/10 of one percent is hardly anything to panic about.
Did they from Covid or with Covid???
How many heart attacks and motorcycle wrecks in that count? I don’t believe those numbers for one second.
And how many to the seasonal flu?
Covid has killed, so they say, 250,000 in a population of 325,000,000. .077% of the population
Coming from the New York Post and Liberal Johns Hopkins I don’t believe this report. Covid 19 worldwide has become the World’s biggest HOAX ever that The Left has dreams of using to CONTROL.......................and that’s it!
How many were native Americans who lived in squalor and filth and smoked?
...but the good news is that the Flu Deaths, Heart Attack Deaths, and deaths from falling off ladders have been eradicated!
As log as it was the right one, I got no problem.
The US has has 11.6 million cases and 250,000 deaths.
Do the math.

...and not to be insensitive, but we all lose at least 1 out of 100 every year anyway. If we didn’t, the life expectancy would be 100, and we know that’s not the case.
North Dakotan here. I know of 4 family/friends who’ve had it. 1 didn’t know they had it, 2 said it was like a mild case of the flu. Mother-in-law had a bad fever, nausea, and a lot of body aches but was back on her feet in 4 days, quarantined 2 weeks, and is back to irritating Father-in-law.
And even that is a gross exaggeration. The latest tests have a 90% false positive rate built in by design. Anyone who who tested positive several months prior to dying for any reason was counted as a coronavirus death. Before the tests were widely available they were calling anyone who had a sniffle before crashing their donorcycle into an overpass was called a “presumptive coronavirus” death. My brother-in-law died because he wasn't able to get a life saving “elective” surgery for his brain tumor because of our state's knee jerk ban on elective surgeries last Spring. He was not tested for coronavirus but somewhat ironically his death was called a “presumptive coronavirus death”. This has been so out of hand this year that it is unbelievable.
I looked up these stats yesterday. More than 2/3 of all ND deaths are from “long term care” facilities. What a joke. The NY media writes these articles to cover up the fact that Cuomo was a disaster.
That’s the SAME rate of death by influenza. Seriously.
PEOPLE RECOVER FROM COVID, unless they have, just as in influenza and causative/additive pneumonia-— concomitant diagnosis that puts them at greater risk of death. Heart disease, pulmonary lung disease, asthma, heart attack, congestive heart disease (leads to increased fluid in lung, subsequent PNEUMONIA: the most common real cause of death from complications of all of the above). Covid is an added lung virus which further challenges a compromised patient. That’s it, folks.
Flu does the same thing.
I would change the denominator; instead of the total population of the state, the population that has actually tested positive for COVID. In addition, in the reported deaths, is COVID the immediate cause or an underlying cause? It can always happen, for example, that a person who died of “COVID” may have actually died of another condition such as a heart attack or cancer while having the disease.
Or 2.5 per 3,250 or 1 out of 1300 so N. Dakota is beating the odds :)
