I am travelling from Maryland to either CT or MA next week. When I tried to book a flight, an alert came up about China Virus travel restrictions.
1) Question: Are CT and MA questioning arriving passengers at their airports? Are they taking your information, etc.?
2) If you travel by car into CT, do they stop you?
3) How about Amtrak?
Bottom line: I don't fear the China Virus, but I fear that I could get stuck in some leftist state b/c of their travel restrictions.
For heaven’s sake, just get in the car. They don’t stop you. They may slow you down.
Airport jackboots will humiliate you.
I live in New Hampshire, and in mid-October flew out of Boston to Washington and back. Upon return I saw some people in the airport asking passengers to fill out voluntary contact info about COVID, but I was not approached and most people were ignoring them.
Under your PROTECTED rights in the 14th Amendment, Emergency Orders of one State do not travel across State lines.
As a US citizen, you have an /incorporated right/ (14 A.) to normal travel between states.
This means the 4th and 5th Amendment are not set-aside and you are allowed unencumbered travel in other states without fear of being “searched” (4th A.) or required to divulge any personal information (5th A.) to authorities.
Likewise, under the 14th Amendment, authorities cannot remove you from said state without specific orders restraining interstate trade.
Those orders MUST be approved by the US Congress.
Such a thing has not been taken-up by Congress.
Just.
Don’t.
Comply.
1) You are going to a foreign country that is worse than a banana republic.
2) It is well on its way t being a totalitarian state.
3) Arm yourself with a concealable weapon.
4) If you are wearing a Trump hat, be prepared to shoot and escape the state within 5 hours or less.
5) Choose not to go.
Does no one understand freedom?
Captain Obvious says: youre already in a leftist state (MD) so theres little left to fear.
Like, get in your car and go. Conceal carry, mace, a mask and a hazmat suit
Dont go. Stay in America?
I believe MA currently requires a mask 100% of the time ($300 fine). If you take a walk in the woods, you need a mask. I think there is also a 9:30 curfew. Because the virus is especially virulent late at night.
I live in MA. I’m not 100% sure of the current requirements (the above is what I think they are). I pay no attention to what my governor says I am required to do. And, as other posters have indicated, no one can restrict your travel between the states.
We need to stop complying with the Fascist Left.

Yeah, I get that. I just want to make sure that if I travel to CT I won’t get stuck there for 14 days. How do I avoid this? Are they enforcing it?

7 hour drive. Would prefer to fly. Just would like to know if I fly into a CT airport, will I “have to show them my papers”? Are they really enforcing these restrictions?
Move out of Maryland..
Nothing in CT or MA worth visiting anyway.
We travel to the sane part of Maine (the 2nd congressional district) quite a bit as we own property there.
We top off with diesel at the PA/NY border. We don’t stop for anything when traveling thru NY, CT & MA...no fuel, no lodging, no food...nothing, except their mandatory tolls on bridges/roads. We blend in with the flow of traffic, roll along with it the best we can until we reach the first fuel stop on the Maine turnpike where we refuel, restroom and maybe a snack. We’ll then top off the fuel in Bangor where I’ll grab a Moxie which is more than enough to carry us to freedom in Meddybemps, ME. We follow a reverse procedure when traveling back.
My sister lives in Maryland.
She drove to El Paso and back.
No issues, no stops.
My son was coming to visit his mother and I but cancelled.
For Virginia they told him that upon his return they would have to self-isolate for 14-days.
Why would any sane person choose to travel to either of those corrupt liberal states? The only reason I could think of is that they wish to hasten their car’s demise by letting some salt get into the metal works.
7-hour drive? By the time you travel to the airport, then go through all of the airport nonsense to get on a plane, then fly to wherever you’re going, then get out of that airport and to your destination, how much time have you saved door-to-door?
For myself, I won’t fly at all unless I really, really have to, so I realize that my choices might not be yours.
Hell I reside in Connecticut and the Governor here is crazy following the dictatorial policies of Governor Cuomo. I wouldn’t be surprised if the State police would be on the border in Greenwich which is the first toll plaza into the state.
If your coming to Connecticut go on the web and check to see if they’re still enforcing the quarantine for out of staters.
Traveling from a Socialist State to another Socialist State shouldnt be a problem. Socialists love one another, until they run out of other people to hate.
We flew into Boston at the end of September from Florida. We had no idea what to expect so we had a rapid Covid test the day before we left. We arrived at Logan in the thick of rush hour and the airport was EMPTY. Our flight was the only one coming or going. Everything was closed and there were forms at the exits which everyone ignored. I’m not sure if things have changed but I doubt anyone will bother you.
