Why Trump's election challenges have a better chance than most of succeeding

Whenever someone comes on TV introduced as a "national expert on American election law," change the channel, because no such person exists.  We have 50 very different sets of state laws that govern elections and just as many sets of courts with different ideas on how they work. Each state has to be considered by itself, taking into account what a contest or recount there might actually entail.

For example, Michigan has unique law that excludes precincts with mistaken paperwork from official recount totals.  These are not necessarily fraudulent, but often the work of sloppy, inept officials who give out ballots without securing signatures and properly counting them.  It happens every time in most of the Detroit precincts.  How well do you suppose Biden would do in a Michigan recount if half of Detroit is tossed out at the start?

Right now, Republican lawyers in each close state are gathering evidence and researching the options.  The Trump team ought to take at least the 37 days Al Gore used to fight the 2000 election.  The nominal date to wrap up election challenges is December 8, and the Electoral College doesn't vote until the 14th.

If at the end Mr. Trump cannot prevail in the recounts and the courts, then so be it.  But never give the current opposition any shred of respect or legitimacy.  The Obama/Pelosi/Biden/Big Tech Democrats have forfeited all that.

They say that when a bear fights an alligator, the most important thing is if it's in the forest or the swamp.  Mr. Trump unfortunately has been fighting the last four years in the greatest swamp of them all.  Just about all the people he brought with him either meant well but were clueless, like Steve Bannon and Jeff Sessions, or were quick to betray him to the Deep State —

At least now, the fight is back in the forests, where Republican state parties will put their best election lawyers to work in venues they understand and under rules they know. These are the real experts in their respective jurisdictions, and they may have some surprises in store.

As a general rule, election recount contests rarely succeed, but that’s because even in close races, the loser is usually tapped out financially and emotionally exhausted from the campaign. Spending months fighting in court is daunting. That doesn’t fit Mr. Trump. He loves the fight. And this one might actually be somewhat fair.

The issue is the remedies and how supervised these remedies (audits, recanvass, recounts) will be. The Dems can and will cheat even during the remedies, so we need strong judicial intervention.

The premise of the linked article doesn’t match the evidence he provides regarding Detroit. He links this article that purports to show that entire precincts of ballots will be “thrown out” if the numbers don’t match up, but the article he links as evidence says that those ballots won’t be REcounted, but they’ll still count using the numbers from election night.

That doesn’t seem right, since the entire point of a recount is to find out if there are things that don’t match, but that’s what the article says.

I can’t figure out how a recount, canvass or audit can fix the spoil of illegal ballots in the count. The whole scam is to get the bad in with the good and they will all be counted as good.

It’s like pouring bad water in a pitcher. The whole pitcher is now either bad or good as you can’t un-pour the bad water.

There’s only a couple solutions: (1) re-vote - not going to happen, (2) void whole batches that may have had bad ballots - unlikely remedy, (3) recount the bad with the good - they get away with the fraud.

There is enough violation of election law relating to allowing poll watchers to see fraud that large blocks of votes can be excluded.

Based upon the final outcome of Florida in Bush vs Gore, I expect that the Democrats will do everything they can to block recounts as recounts will disclose fraud.

Trump can checkmate the Democrats by putting them in a position of recounts or throw the election to the House where Trump will win based upon Republican State Legislatures, which are the majority in US, voting for Trump.

All it takes is for Trump to get Republican State Legislatures in swing states to not certify the vote due to fraud. (List below are all Republican controlled State Houses that went to Biden)

Pennsylvania-20
Michigan-16
Arizona-11
Wisconsin-10
Georgia-16
New Hampshire-4
North Carolina if needed-15

Assume Biden currently 290 less PA 20-MI16-AZ11-WI10-GA16 = 217

(way under 270)

If any of the Republican state houses in the list, plus Pennsylvania refuse to certify the vote, Biden is screwed.

Pennsylvania Republican House has already challenged the vote results last Saturday.

Too much fog of war from right wingers currently. We need to wait for the dust to settle and for judicial intervention to start. Until then it is all speculation.

I have already picked out a personal nickname for Biden - Old Joe, or O.J. for short.

Why? Because he DID IT, and everyone knows he did it.
He has no honor, and no ethics.
He will lie to your face, cheat you and steal from you without a second thought.
He can be bought, but can never be trusted.

(Apologies to the real OJ)

This article is good, except for one glaring error:

Just about all the people he brought with him either meant well but were clueless, like Steve Bannon and Jeff Sessions

Sessions was an old hand in Washington. He knew the Deep State better than most. He WAS the Deep State better than most.
