Fair enough. I would counter that just because he’s pessimistic on the election doesn’t mean he’s wrong on the policy prescriptions. He still WANTS Trump to win and he wants to be wrong, but he is frustrated with him taking advice from Mcconnell and the economic libertarian wing who have never believed in his message or vision for the country. We don’t need cheerleaders in the form of our journalists, we need truth tellers who lay their cards on the table even if they end up being wrong about this election.
I would agree with you if he were a party activist or political leader, but he’s not. Right or wrong, he has to give his best assessment of what he thinks is going to happen based on the best available evidence. Obviously, we still have a shot
We would have a better shot if Trump would’ve sacked Kudlow and Laffer and pushed for a large stimulus (which is what he wants). This should not be a close election.
