I’m told that France has relatively reasonable gun laws (for a European country). So a good place to start would be to liberalize those laws. Perhaps an Islamist would think twice about attacking an innocent if he thought that guy sitting on a bench might be armed.
An if the Islamist did attack anyway, maybe that guy could keep the victim count at one.
But given this is Western Europe, yeah, I’m just dreaming.
