I don’t think that there is an issue with a private citizen taking money from the Chinese government, but I don’t know about that.
What I do know is that money being funneled to a sitting Vice President through his relatives from a government that wishes ill on us is a serious corruption issue.
To be fair, this stuff went down after Joe was out of office. But he’s denied ANY involvement, so there’s that.
I did not watch it, but before Tuesday, AFAIK, everything Tony talked about was AFTER Joe was VP. Possibly not illegal.

In addition, not one bit of this was disclosed - ALL federal elected officials, and ALL candidates for federal elective office have to disclose their assets, which Biden never did. Additionally, as VP Biden is supposed to have his assets in a blind trust, exactly for the purpose of preventing someone from trading on the office to make money.
That this would in anything resembling a normal world be the biggest political bombshell ever is clear - hence the reason why the Bidens were “paranoid “ about only discussing Joe’s involvement face to face and not via any recorded means. Of course, we no longer live in a normal world, not when virtually every media outlet, one of the two principle political parties and many major corporations are doing their level best to suppress criminal and likely treasonous activities by a Presidential candidate in order to usher in one-party rule and the imposition of an outright Socialist regime on this nation, and that they’re going to abuse their authority in order to turn the Judicial Branch of government into a rubber stamp for their party and its policies. We live in a time in which a literal revolution against our very form of government is being openly conducted - which is so Turd World that it feels to me like I am in the midst of a Twilight Zone-like nightmare.
If I’m not mistaken, the Biden family helped the Chinese Communist Party buy an American company that had dual-use technology. That has to be treasonous; perhaps not in the strictest legal sense, but definitely in the common sense of the word.
