Leftist secularists have rejected God (because they don't want to have to abide by His commands) and thus have no transcendent meaning in their lives. As a result, they have to create a drama in their life where they are accomplishing some great good cause (such as saving the earth from global warming or getting rid of non-existent racism) so that they can feel that they are doing something significant. However, they do NOT want to have to make any great sacrifice or to have to show love (or tolerance) to people that they disagree with. They want to feel good about themselves, so they convince themselves that they are morally and intellectually superior to the dreaded Christians and conservatives.

Victor Frankl (a holocaust survivor) wrote an insightful book, Man's Search for Meaning, which explored this topic. Everyone needs to feel important. Atheists, if they are logically consistent, realize that their beliefs mean that there is no ultimate meaning or purpose to their lives. But they can't live with those logical implications, so they have to invent some proximate meaning in their lives. Trying to create a utopian "heaven on earth" is a common outgrowth of that. But it never works because they (and everyone else) are sinful selfish creatures. They can never create the communists' "new man." But they keep trying because they arrogantly think that socialist authoritarianism can work this next time since now THEY (with their unequaled wisdom and character) will be in charge. Sheer arrogant ignorance.

Seems to me the great tribulation which comes at the great apostasy is the put up or shut up spiritual last chance for repentance. A moment that is the ultimate in hard times and comes with the creation of the Globalist vision.

Today I see apostasy like never before,
Men are violent lovers of self,
Globalist sedition and Treason with a planedemic on top.
A false peace breaking out in the middle east
And corruption exposed in America like never before in history. America has been the force that keeps the world corruption under control for over a century, now the swamp is winning

The old apostacy/revival cycle seems to be reaching a crescendo that may well culminate in a rapture/wrath final scene.

My guess is that you may see. The problem is that those who do not read the Bible will not see it in time, or not see it at all when it takes them out.
