The falling behind in school is not a choice.
I never said it was. I was talking about the lifestyle choices of adults. 75% of American men and 66% of American women were overweight or obese before anyone ever heard of COVID, according to the CDC. Instead of accepting responsibility for our choices we as a nation started the "fat is beautiful" and "body-positivity" movements. I have heard that our nation's weight problem is caused by stress, by poverty, by "toxic whiteness", now by the lockdowns. IOW by anything other than individual choices. I am a conservative therefore I believe in individual responsibility for adults and parents' rights to raise their children as they see fit, whether it's homeschooling, private schools, public schools, charter schools, or learning pods.
Yes, and plenty of people seem to try dodging that as an issue, while trying to restrict almost all else. I do go walking outside on my own time. Play soccer with the children as needed, etc. But to $:&: with what is being done and largely unavoidable to most people.
They’re harping on cases, not deaths.
#NeverTrumpers are insipid backstabbing liars.
A “former . . . task force aide” - now that is some high-powered criticism.
This woman is a joke. Used to work for my firm.
Another one of the usual suspects, probably someone who will get caught in serious crimes by the time Trump finishes cleaning out DC’s Augean stables.

According to CNN, Troye is a lifelong Republican.[7] Troye self-identifies as a “John McCain Republican” and endorsed Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden
And Trump knew you were full of sh!t, because its not worse than the flu, now that we know even the CDC says over 94% of COVID deaths have underlying conditions.
>> was warned “very early on” about the severity of the virus
Really?
And what IS that severity?
Because we were told 2 million deaths this year. Even with the inflated non-tested body count, we are barely at 10% of that.
>>You cant make the cure worse than the disease.
Even John Hopkins and the Gates Foundation’s “simulation” of a global pandemic tried to pay lip service to travel and industry carrying on.

Event 201 is a pandemic tabletop exercise hosted by The Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security in partnership with the World Economic Forum and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation on October 18, 2019, in New York, NY. The exercise illustrated the pandemic preparedness efforts needed to diminish the large-scale economic and societal consequences of a severe pandemic.
Drawing from actual events, Event 201 identifies important policy issues and preparedness challenges that could be solved with sufficient political will and attention. These issues were designed in a narrative to engage and educate the participants and the audience.
