And remember that when Harry Reid and Democrats got rid of the filibuster for other presidential nominees in 2013, the filibuster rule still remained for Supreme Court nominees.

At the time of the Gorsuch nomination to the Supreme Court in 2017, Schumer tried to set up the filibuster of that nomination. It was at that point, that the Mc Connell and the GOP did the “nuclear option” and got rid of the filibuster for Supreme Court nominees.

Imagine if the filibuster rule were still there. This nomination would certainly have been filibustered, based on Democrats saying it’s too close to the election to vote on it. And the vote for Amy Coney Barrett would not be happening now.

The point is, Chuck Schumer has only himself to blame, for the chain of events which brought us to this point. He and Harry Reid have only themselves to blame, for deciding to tamper with long standing Senate rules of procedure. It’s the Democrats fault that the filibuster is gone and they can’t stop this nominee.

It's great, isn't it? The Dems may have inadvertently saved the Republic they're trying to destroy.
