This is such a tired and absurd wind industry talking point! Name me the last time you saw a cat take out a golden/bald eagle, condor, falcon, Bicknell’s Thrush, whooping crane, passerine, loon, osprey or any of the important species beyond the common variety robin, sparrow, or pigeon. Turbines kill birds - period! Turbines are also the #1 or #2 sources of bat mortality depending on where the turbine is sited.

I have seen the bald eagle bring a cat to feed to the chicks on the DC eagle cam. Very cool.

What about prothonotary warblers? Do cats kill many of them?

For those not familiar with the Alger Hiss/Whittaker Chambers saga, Chambers (when he was a Communist) had known Hiss, but Hiss denied having known him. Chambers remembered how Hiss had gotten very excited after seeing a prothonotary warbler and told the investigators about it. Later Hiss was asked about that and said yes, he had seen one...not realizing that he was confirming Chambers' claim to have known him earlier.
